Identifying private numbers
Is there a way to identify who’s calling you on a private number? Eg if I call someone on a private number because I chose to hide my caller ID in settings, can the phone call be traced back to me?

On google some apps or websites claim that private numbers can be identified but I wouldn’t think Apple will allow that coz wouldn’t that be a breach of privacy if a person chooses to hide their identity/phone number? So basically I’m wondering if its true? If I call someone on a private number can they figure out my number using an app or some program?
