OLD EMAC A1002 NEED HELP

I was recently given an old eMac a1002 from a friend and when I turn it on, I hear the chime and the Apple logo pops up. Then it loads and goes to this black code screen but I don’t know what to do after that. It says on this screen and keeps saying “disk0s5: I/O error.” Any thoughts? Thank you

Do you know how I could do that?

Don't even try to replace the hard drive yourself. In order to replace the hard drive requires removing the eMac's housing which exposes you to extremely deadly shock conditions which can kill you. Do NOT work on your eMac. If you want it repaired, then take the eMac to someone who knows how to work around deadly CRTs and FlyBack Transformers.

All of the four eMac series have the same "A" number., A1002, so we don't know which series you have. That can make a difference in troubleshooting eMacs because two of the fours series have unique problems.

This Apple article show where to find your serial number and how to use it to tell which series you have:

If we know what series, then we may be able to be more specific in our suggestions.
