OLD EMAC A1002 NEED HELP

I was recently given an old eMac a1002 from a friend and when I turn it on, I hear the chime and the Apple logo pops up. Then it loads and goes to this black code screen but I don’t know what to do after that. It says on this screen and keeps saying “disk0s5: I/O error.” Any thoughts? Thank you

iMac will not start, begins loading and turns off. Receiving an Exit 8 code. When starting iMac computer it begins to load and half way through it will shutoff. Checking In diagnostics received code of Exit 8. Not sure we’re to proceed at this point!

older imac wont start up after being out of use for over a year I have an older imac. When Covid hit we shut down and didn't use it for over a year. We tried to start it up again today and it will not start up and load. It shows kinds of code or errors. We then force shut down and tried to reboot again and then got a second message about not shutting down properly? Is some sort of mother board battery or other issue happening because we haven't started it up in years?
