Why does Find My MacBook lock feature say “Pending”and what does it mean in relation to the message i left for the Finder?

Seems rather self-evident, at least to me.
"Pending" means the system is working.

Most of these Apple Support articles with various
differences say enough to start. IF your Mac has
Catalina macOS 10.15.5, the newer Find My "rules"
apply. ~ Otherwise, older Find My Mac, does.
