Was the phone purchased direct from Apple? If so these are usually unlocked.
If you purchased from a non Apple store then these usually lock to the first carrier SIM which is inserted so you'd have to contact them to unlock your device. They may charge for this.
Ok well I bought the phone but It didn’t come with a SIM card so I don’t know who the carrier is how do I find out who is the carrier
If you don't know what carrier it's locked to, call AppleCare and give them the serial number.
