How will Mac mini handle with 3D render? What configuration will be “ok”?

The current Mac Mini does not feature an internal, discrete GPU, so unless you want long, gnarly, imperfect renders, you will need an eGPU with an appropriate Radeon chip doing the heavy lifting of the render. Apple offers two different Black Magic eGPU in their online store which are known to work with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 or later via a Thunderbolt 3 port.
