Facebook App not fully working

I deleted the Facebook app from my phone a few days, I have now re-installed it and this version doesn't seem to be working properly - can't post and can't see notifications or friends stories. I think this newer version isn't compatible with my current iOS - I can't update to iO3 13 as I don't have enough storage I only have 16GB iphone and it has never bothered me before but now annoyed if Facebook won't work. Or is there another problem with the app, Is there anything I can do....?
