in Photos / Info / "Assign a Location" field is not working. "No Results" pops up when typing in the field

You will get "No Result", when the location has not been found in Apple's location database.
If you cannot find the place by the name, try to enter the GPS coordinates. Enter the latitude in degrees and the longitude in degrees, separated by a space character. For example: the pair 40.689254 -74.044542 should set the location to the place of the Statue of Liberty. You can see the coordinates for example in Apple's Maps.app when you drop a pin and open the Info for the marked location.
You need a working internet connection when entering places.
