Select All option in Pages on iPad

It has taken me weeks to discover how to use the Select All option in Pages on my iPad(s) since OS 11 was introduced. The technique that works best, and sometimes I have to try a couple of times, is to go to the last word in the article I am trying to reformat, hold my finger at the end of the word just above the last letter while lightly touching both the last letter and the white space above, lift my finger, and the menu to Select and Select All pops up.
