Trust this computer keeps popping up every time I connect my iPhone to my mac

Hi,

I have iPhone 11 pro max, and MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016).

Each time I my iPhone to the mac, the notification Trust this computer pops up, however both devices are connected to my iCloud account.

I hope you can help me figure this out.

Thanks,

Shadi

Asking each time is unusual, in my experience.

I’d try rebooting both the iPhone and the Mac.

I’d also update both the iPhone and the Mac.

The Mac to Mojave or—if all your major apps are all 64-bit—to Catalina.

The iPhone to iOS 13.5.1 (current), if your iPhone is not already running that version.

If you have add-on security apps or add-on VPN client apps around on either, remove those and try again.

Any add-in apps around doing dodgy things? Add-on anti-malware apps, add-on anti-virus apps, add-on cleaners, add-on VPN clients, all can and variously have caused issues. This both on the Mac, and on the iPhone.

Please download and run EtreCheck in the Mac. Then open a new reply here, and press the button that looks like a printed page to get a text input box big enough to paste the hardware and software configuration report here.
