Can iPhone cameras be hacked to where people can watch you? Also will factory resetting remove all kinds of spyware like that?

So I've been reading around the discussions seeing people stating that it's not possible for iPhone cameras to be hacked, yet people say it could happen? I'm curious to know if it's actually possible and would factory resetting the phone WITHOUT restoring a backup delete the hacked camera spyware thing?

By the ways, I use an iPhone 6 Plus with IOS 12.4.7 (Latest version for iPhone 6, 6+)

Will factory resetting fix my problems?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 12

Yes, restoring to factory settings will remove any management profiles. So will going to settings/General and scrolling to the bottom. If you see an entry for “Profiles” or “Device Management” tap it, and if you see a profile tap on it and delete it, then restart your phone.

The one type of device management that you can’t delete is a phone that is managed by a corporate IT department under Enterprise Device Management or School Device Management. If you restore to factory settings and either of these is enabled you will see a message saying to contact the administrator and you won’t be able to use the phone.

It is possible? Anything is possible, especially if your iPhone is jailbroken. Is it likely, if it's not jailbroken? No. However, one thing to keep in mind, is that having the latest version of iOS would provide you with additional security, and at some point, you will need to consider getting a newer phone to be able to run it.
