Purchased iPhone 11 on Jan 26, 2020. Accidentally dropped it on 28th February and my phone’s Screen got damaged in 2 places. It fell on road while I was getting out of my car. Media says this phone as the most durable phone Apple has ever made which I think is a BIG lie because mine got scratched so easily. Hope I could get a solution.
The gorilla glass is optimised for crack resistance not scratch resistance
Any drop is likely to do more damage and you were lucky. It will not be covered in warranty
I always fit a glass screen protector and a soft gel case
I have iphone 6/7/8 and any old $3 glass off the 'bay will do
With the 11 you need one from the Apple store for perfect fit to the non/flat screen. Cheap ones leave a halo round the edge
I kept my phone on top of a pair of scissors that was on the table by mistake and my tempered glass broke instantly. My phone fell when i was going to get a new protector. And yes it has a cover too. I have dropped my old iphone several times and nothing like this happened. Yes it did break but after several drops. Not in the first drop like iphone 11 !!
I went through other threads and almost all the people have faced similar problems where the screen has easily scratched [ex-scratched inside pocket] Disappointing!!! :(
Can somebody please recommend which screen protector is the best for iphone 11? there are so many variants and honestly no time to get into much deets. Thanks in advance !
