Hello brookecharlton,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We know it's important to be able to use your Touch Bar, and we'd like to get some information about the issue to see how we can assist.
When you say it doesn't work, what happens exactly?
Does your Touch Bar work as expected for other functions and in other apps?
It sounds like you're referring to access Google Docs through a web browser. Is that right? Which web browser? Does the same behavior occur if you test another browser?
Which macOS version are you using under Apple menu () > About This Mac?
The best steps are going to depend on the answers to the above, but for general troubleshooting, it's often a good start to test in a newly-created administrator account. That will help determine if the issue is system-wide or user-specific. Here's How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.
Feel free to reply back with the answers to the questions posted above, and the results of testing in a new user account.
Have a good one.
It happens the same to me. I have the MacBook Pro 2020 and the auto correction in safari works when searching in google or in any other but when I am typing in a google docs, it doesn't correct the spelling with the Touch Bar
I have the same situation.
The Touch bar shows suggested words on all websites except when I'm editing a Google Doc on Chrome.
I have the same issue. 2020 MacBook Pro, Mac OS Catalina, Version 10.15.7 (19H2).
When using google docs in chrome, the typing suggestions just continuously show "I", "The" and "I'm" and never change.
Also, when using google docs in Safari the typing suggestions option doesn't even show up.
