How to recover deleted photos?

My husband has a new phone and he gave my grandson his old one and because a lot of the data was used up from my husbands photos I deleted them all even the recently deleted ones and it seems to have deleted them all of his new phone, I haven’t admitted to doing this lol but I desperately need to get them back some how x
