How do I set the length of a step/stride?

With the iPod seventh generation, is it possible to set the length of a step in the Health app?

Sorry and thank you for responding. The iPod has a health app. My wife uses it for measuring how far she walks each day. The 'distance walked' measurement is derived from the number of steps taken but it appears that the app automatically calculates a step as an "average" length, possibly based on height, weight etc. So this "average" length of a step is multiplied by the number steps taken to produce a figure representing the distance walked.

The issue is, the distance walked does not appear to be accurate. So I thought that perhaps the length of each step could be adjusted to represent a more personal, individual length estimate.

Many thanks for taking time to consider.
