Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Using Numbers

I’m using a Numbers budget template. However the formulas aren’t consistent throughout the spreadsheet. For instance, a negative difference in one row reads as -$4. In other rows it reads as ($4). How do you change the formula for this? I can’t seem to find the way to correct this issue.

Select the cells that will display these results, then click the Format brush and choose Cell in the inspector that opens..

Set the data type to Currency, with as many or few decimal places as you want, then set the 'negative values' menu to the style you want for these values.
