I follow. your instruction:

After I slide off the OFF button to turn the iPhone, I connected the iPhone to the computer while holding the side button,

I cannot find the location of the iPhone in my computer on the side bar above or below the MAC.

The screen stay dark. What do I do now? I cannot proceed restoring the iPhone.
