iPhone stuck on your emergency contacts have been notified will not unfreeze

My daughters iPhone 11 Promax is stuck on your emergency contacts have been notified


We cannot get this message off or get her phone to be used. We try to do a hard reboot holding the volume button and the side button down nothing happens. We charged it for one hour and nothing happens

That is not the correct way to force restart the iPhone 11 Pro Max.


Instead:

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button
  • Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears
