Old passcode

i have a problem about updating Apple ID settings and it ask for my old passcode but I don’t remember. I want to reset end to end encrypted but I’m afraid if my WhatsApp message is gone. What should I do ?

Do you have a backup of your WhatsApp conversations?

Several people have posted they reset the encrypted data and lost little to no data.
