Do I need to lock my series 5 watch when going in the water

Once you enter the water the watch automatically turns on the water lock,when you have finished in the water you have to turn the water lock off yourself.

If you're not doing a swimming workout then you can turn water lock on manually.Water lock's only purpose is to prevent accidental screen touches whilst you are in the water.
