my iphone says "iphone is disabled". plugged in to Itunes and Itunes does not bring up my phone7

my iphone 7 says it's disabled. Trying to plug into Itunes but it does not pick up the phone on the computer. any ideas?

You need to perform specific gestures to connect the disabled iPhone to your computer (running the latest version of iTunes). These are instructions:--> If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled
