Can I access my existing Cinemax subscription (via DirecTV) with the Apple TV app?

The Apple TV app Channel ‘Cinemax’ is a separate subscription. Those are generally not exchangeable with subscriptions started elsewhere. Subscriptions with a TV provider may be supported when they offer their own separate app for that.
