Iphone X Reset photo number

Question

Iphone X Reset photo number

Without resetting my IPhone back to factory settings, how can I reset the photo back to number 1. Presently it is at 152. I have deleted all the photos from my IPhone.

We understand from your post that you would like the number of photos on your iPhone to reset back to the number 1. If you have deleted all your photos, did you also delete them from the Recently Deleted folder? If not, that could be why it still shows your photos taking up space on your iPhone. You may need to rename the files after importing them to your computer. If you use a Mac this article will provide you with steps on how to rename files which you may find helpful:

Thank you for your reply. I have done all of that prior. But still if I take a photo and send it in an email and download it, it will show IMG_0253.jpg, the next one will be IMG_254.jpg, etc. 0253 I just took for you but unable to upload it for your preview. My understanding is that in order to reset the photo # back to number 1 you actually have to find the ' PhotoData / MISC where you'll find a file called DCIM_APPLE.plist'. I realize there is a program that can be used on a MAC Comp, but I have a Dell PC with windows 10.

You can see on ITunes the DCIM, but nothing happens when you click on it.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you again Joe. But I am not sure you understand what I am trying to do. But I also prefer not to tinker within the IPhone. If this helps you answer my question, I would appreciate your input.
