Sidecar not working after a few minutes

I have an ipad pro 12.9 2020 running as a separate display with my imac. When I first start up sidecar it works fine a few minutes but then becomes unresponsive, the mouse pointer does not travel across to the ipad screen. My wifi connection is very good on both devices (showing full signal strength). How can I create a more stable connection?

Ventura Sidecar Problems I rely on Sidecar for my teaching. I have a 16" 2019 MacBook Pro, and a 9.7" iPad Pro. My MacBook is extended to the screen in the front of my room via USB-C to VGA adapter, and the iPad mirrors that secondary display. I use the iPad so that I can be writing on the screen while facing the class, and moving around in it. Every now and then, the wireless connection would get a little wonky, but restarting one or both devices would fix that. Since upgrading to Ventura (and iPad OS 16), Sidecar is completely nonfunctional wirelessly. It will sometimes show the screen on the iPad momentarily, but then it will immediately lose connection. As of right now, I can only use it while physically connected via a cable, which makes me stuck standing behind my desk. This is not ideal when teaching junior high math. Has anyone else run into these issues?

iPad Pro 5G SideCar randomly freezes when connected to Macbook Pro 13" M1 iPad Pro as a second screen with Sidecar issue I recently bought an iPad Pro 12.9 (5G) one of the main reasons for buying it was to use it as a second display with my Macbook Pro. I'm able to connect the iPad successfully but after a few minutes of using it, the SideCar app randomly freezes forcing me to have to reconnect the iPad from my Macbook. Looks like a pretty serious bug. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Sidecar app iPad Pro 12.9 wifi (5th Generation), iOS 15.4.1 Macbook Pro M1, 13", 2020, macOS BigSur v11.1 Steps to reproduce, and easily notice the issue: 1. In Macbook Pro, connect iPad as a second screen: System Preferences -> Sidecar -> Connect to (select device name in dropdown menu) 2. Once the iPad is successfully connected: Reproduce some media like o video and wait... Usually, around 10-35 minutes the screen will freeze but the audio keeps playing in the background. iPad still responds but Sidecar app will be completely frozen.

The old restart! You must work in I.T. iPad restarted, seems to be working better this morning, hope it lasts.
