Manually Download App - macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.

"If you see this warning, it means that the app was not notarized, and Apple could not scan the app for known malicious software. You may want to look for an updated version of the app in the App Store or look for an alternative app."

What if there is no updated version or no other alternative app. This is an important app that I need to use for work.

I guess this is one of the many examples where macOS goes overboard in being impractical. This is very frustrating.
