How do I unsynch my old iPad from my other devices? When I tried to edit settings it was applied to all of my devices and I want to set this one up separately

Settings are not applied globally to all devices, they are strictly per device.
What settings exactly did you try to set?
If you tried to delete photos or files from iCloud drive, those would be applied globally.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
