I have a phone call from Apple support to let me kno that my up address was hacked , they want that I go to the store and and buy an Apple Card for $500 , and then Apple will reimburse it back to me, is this right or it is an scam

I guy call me from Apple support to let me know that my up address is compromised , and he wants to go to the store (cvs) to buy $ 500 Apple Card to fix the problem then Apple will reimburse the money back to me , is this right or it’s an scam

100% scam. Immediately hang up on ALL such calls.


Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed. 


Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
