Shut off screen

My Ipad screen stays on too long a drains the battery, how do I get it to turn off automatically?

display and brightness

autolock - then set that for however long or short you want it to be

My ipad Pro (10.5 inch) does not turn off automatically It is running latest 15.1. Auto lock set to 2 minutes, but even after 10 minutes, screen is still on. I can turn off screen manually by pressing power button, or close the cover. Tried restart the ipad but no help. What is the problem?
