Allow me to be of some help. Here's a great article that may help you get up and running in some time. -- If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (HT201263) .

Specifically talks about your case scenario in the second bullet: "If your screen is stuck on the Apple logo for several minutes with no progress bar." to try this, you'll need a lightning cable + computer .
