Can I watch rented movies on my ipad on an airplane?
About to take a very long flight and want to watch some rented movies on my ipad - I just read somewhere online that I can't do this without a wifi connection on the airplane - is this true? How can I do this? Thank you.
Thanks for your responses - maybe I didn't put the question exactly right. I know that I need to be connected to download, but I've heard that you need an internet connection to watch the downloaded films so that Apple can start the clock on the rental. I've read a lot of stuff online that suggests that to watch rentals on an airplane you've got to start the film on the ground where you've got a connection and start the clock. This seems like a crazy work around for what must be a pretty popular activity for an ipad.
I've looked at the Apple FAQ and haven't found any clear answers to this question. Can anyone clarify this one? Thanks again.
