IPad Pro 10.5

Hi

I have an iPad Pro. It's got a cranked screen which wasn't a problem.

Quite recent a tiny amount of water went through the cracks. It worked for about a minute and then went off. Looked like the picture slided to one side.

Ive dried it for a week. The thing is when I plug it in the battery icon appears(empty with the red strip showing it's charging).

This is all that shows even after charging for many hours. It does not Power on. And looks like a white strip just above the home button appears at the same time.

Is this water damage or battery? If the battery charging icon is showing isn't that a sign the screen could be fine?
