Pop up saying I’ve been hacked

I don’t usually believe these things but I clicked on a dodgy link by accident and a pop

up came up saying iPhone hacked! Just like a notification would come up on Apple, and then came up with a new notification telling me to press a button to protect my connection and install an app that searches for hacks. I assumed it wasn’t real because when I went off the site it dissapeared but is there any chances it’s real? And if it is what should I do?

No, it is not real. All such popup messages are scams. Never, never, never download anything based on a popup.

As stedman1 said, this is a scam that's trying to get you to install the attacker's malicious software. If you didn't install anything, you should be safe.


If you're willing to share the malicious link, I'll take a look and post a short analysis here with screenshots for everyone's benefit. If you share it, please don't post the dodgy link directly, so we don't accidentally click on it. Instead, paste the link in the input of this base64 encoder and post the output, which will look something like this:
