Can't Access Apple Cash

I received a payment from my husband for $250 through imessages but when I went to the wallet to transfer it to my bank, the balance says $0 and I am not able to access the money. Apple cash does note the recent transaction for $250 and when I tried to send him money it shows a balance of $250. We regularly pay each other this way and this is the first time I have had trouble. We both have iPhone 7 with iOS 13.5.1.
