Why won't Pages copy and paste into Keynote anymore?

I just upgraded to Keynote version 10.1 (6913) today and now I cannot copy text from Pages onto a Keynote slide. I can work around it by copying it first to textedit, but that is not convenient. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a solution?

Updating Pages to 10.1 solved it.
