I can't update my ipad wirelessly so apple is making me sign in to itunes on my computer to update it don't know what to do or where to begin?

I would NOT even bother with that over 9-year iPad 2, any longer!
You will NOT find ANY older compatible apps for such an old iPad, any longer.

You don't have an iPad 2 and you don't, obviously, have and old iPad Mini as your gray colored hardware signature would indicate, either.
It is hard to help users here when they do not supply us with the right product information and specs.
sorry it is not a ipad2, bought it 3 yrs ago @ best buy, I was able to update through ITUNES late last night but thank you for all the info
