Communication Failure with Lexmark Printer

My parent's computer has recently had problem printing to their Lexmark P915 printer. When a job starts it will begin to print, but then the job will stop and this error message shows up:

Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer. Turn the printer off, check your printer connection and check for printer errors, and turn the printer back on.

I've deleted and reinstalled the printer, reinstalled the printer drivers, and updated the computer to the latest version of 10.3, but it still has the same problem. Does anyone have any possible solution to this issue?
