iPhone is attempting to reactivate an old account on the device on its own.
My teen son “inherited” an iPhone when his brother left for college and got his own plan with new phone. Brother’s data was put on new phone & we created Apple ID & profile for new owner. Has worked fine for month & a half. Yesterday, one game app refused to recognize him, instead pulling up his brother’s data, yet check of security still showed “owner’s” data on Apple ID & trusted number. This morning, I checked it (as I sent the app folks a message) hoping it straightened up. Now the “owner son” has been “locked out for security reasons”. Upon following Apple’s instructions I reopened it, and verified owner’s Apple ID data... correct, plus changed password. Went to do an update for him after it said password was verified. It again said the “locked out” thing, but when asking for “trusted number” it is showing HIS BROTHER’s #, not his that I Just Verified... and now it is trying to restart using his brother’s Apple ID account as well. Why is The Phone attempting this on its own and how do you correct it? I am at a loss. Device in question is an IPhone 7-plus.
