My mic stopped working out of no where

Why did my mic stop working but not my speaker, I can hear people on the phone but they can’t hear me and I also can’t record a video or voice memo with sound.

Try a restart: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Then try: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support

Then try contacting the folks at Apple Support.
