i have my iphone 7< broken> but i need to transfer to iphone 8, will it work even if i have been useing my 8?

Perhaps it would have been better if you had also typed more in the post in addition to the title. I am trying to understand your question. Your iPhone 7 has been broken. You are moving on to an iPhone 8. Here is where I am not certain what you are asking. Are you talking about transferring data from your broken iPhone 7 to your iPhone 8? I am not sure how bad your iPhone 7 is broken however if you can transfer the data to your iPhone 8 then you can do it by restoring your iPhone from your iPhone 7's backup file.
