I want get Logic Pro in a year or so time without having to buy another MacBook Air

Looking to get my first Mac always had windows before, looking to record music, do music production, stream live radio and wondering will an Air be suitable. Looking at 1.1GHz Quad-Core Core i5 Processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz 

512GB Storage and upgrading to 16GB RAM as I want get Logic Pro in a year or so time without having to buy another laptop. Is it worth investing in the Pro now or will the Air be suitable.

I'd get the i7 instead, and if you have to choose between more storage or more memory I'd recommend the latter. More is always better, but 8 GB should be sufficient whereas 512 GB won't be enough.
