I have recently seen a couple of random glitches:
-Time stamp on Messages changed to 12 hour
-News app moves from folder to screen
-Contact sort order changed
All of these were random. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggested remedies so it doesn’t occur in the future? Thanks!

If you have a configuration profile or if you are enrolled in Mobile Device Management, that could account for this. You can check by tapping Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management: Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone
If a profile is not the issue, make you have the latest supported version of iOS installed. As of this writing the current supported version of iOS is 13.5.1.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
