iPhone SE 2nd generation Photo capabilities

I’d like to buy the new iPhone SE but have been told it does not take photos of animals “my pets”.

is this correct?

It takes photos of anything you point it at. Its not like the photos are going to have a big black void where an animal would be.


What it doesn’t do, is apply the special portrait mode filters on anything but humans. It has special face and body type recognition to identify a person’s outline and then do things like blurring out the background.


Those portrait mode features won’t work on animals. You can still take a picture of animals normally though.
