Update Apple ID Settings Error Message
Message appears in Apple ID (in System Preferences)
"Update Apple ID Settings-Some account services will not be available until you sign in again." message displays.
STEPS:
- Click Continue
- Same message pops up
- Click Continue (again)
- Pop up box "Enter your Mac password. The password you use to unlock this Mac will also be used to access saved passwords and other sensitive data you stor in iCloud"
- Enter the password used to unlock the Macbook
- Click Ok
- Popup box disappears
Then nothing.
This is a recurring issue whenever I change passwords. In the past I just keep trying until it accepts the password and stops showing me the message.
Is the reason so many tries have to occur because:
- This is a cloud based function and it takes a very long time for the syncing to occur
- The keyboard on my (nearly new Macbook Air) is not registering one or more of the key strokes
- Something totally different
Does anyone have any idea why the message does not readily disappear once the password is entered (and it is correct, I verified)?
