Used Product Sold As New

I bought brand new ipad pro 2020, when I started the ipad I randomly went to the settings and clicked on battery it say it was last charged June 1 and i bought it July 7 , does that mean my ipad was used and restocked ? But sold as new?

Refurbished iPad Battery It seems that Apple had changed it's description of their refurbished ipads; they no longer state that each one will have a brand new battery. Is this a change in policy? Are they no longer replacing the batteries in the refurbishing process? As my experience with three ipads purchased new has been the batteries have been the most problematic component. If battery replacement is no longer part of the refurbishing process it is not worth buying one.

smartphone is non active for over an year i am buying an year old brand new non active iphone xs max.it hasn't even passed it's first activation. would this affect the phone's non-removable battery as the phone hasn't been used for once for over an year?it's still a packed box. how would this affect the battery or the phone? shall i buy it?

Not necessarily. The battery was charged when the unit was manufactured. It would appear that manufacture happened on June 1st.
