Recover photos from iCloud

So I recently reset my iPhone due to it being stuck in a bootloop. I’ve recovered almost everything on my iPhone thanks to iCloud backup but none of my photos were restored although they’re in my iCloud account. I’ve tried everything in trying to restore them but the photos get corrupted and I’m left frustrated or other options simply don’t work. In some other instances, my photos app just freezes and doesn’t let me open it until I restart my phone and it’s getting irritating. What do I do?

Did you allow the phone to be connected to power and WiFi and left alone? Depending on the size of the iCloud library, it may take a while to upload/sync to your iCloud.
