Screen/Backlight problem - is this fixable?

Hello,

Without any drop or water damage, the screen on my phone went super bright on the right edge of the screen, fading left. No matter the brightness settings, the right side is always significantly more bright/white than the rest of the screen.

The screen itself is undamaged and the touch capability still works on the bright spot, which makes me think it could be a backlight problem?

I was unable to find any similar issues online, and was wondering if anyone has experienced this. But my main question is, is this even something that Apple can fix in-store? Or would this require a phone replacement?
