iTunes library to usb

I am making an iMovie. Trying to move music from library to a usb. HOW? Or can i go straight to the library to upload to iMovie?

You can drag your iTunes song directly from your physical iTunes library to a USB or your desktop, or directly into an iMovie project. You also can access your iTunes music from the iTunes item in the iMovie media sidebar, provided that the songs are not stored in the Cloud. If they are, you would need to download them to your iTunes library.


Note that songs from Apple Music, the subscription service as opposed to iTunes, are DRM protected and cannot be used in iMovie projects. The DRM protection is not defeated by downloading the song from Apple Music to iTunes.
