I need to reinstall Safari on my iMac High Sierra 10.13.6

I am not very computer savvy, and I think I messed up Safari getting rid of Chrome. I was trying to solve a bandwidth problem. How to I find and reinstall the correct version? My iMac was bought in 2011, but I am a retiree and it would be expensive to replace.l

Download reinstall Safari 15.6.1 I used software update to install Safari 15.6.1. I think there might have been a problem with the installation process. How can I reinstall this version, which now does not show up in software update? Safari is too often running very slowly loading a page despite Internet speed at 340 mbps. Computer is forcing a restart; and generating a report to send to Apple. Twice already today. Late 2012 27" iMac running Catalina 10.15.7.

Reinstalling macOS will reinstall its version of Safari.
