Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about how to redeem a gift card.
As long as the recipient is able to open the email on a device where they are logged into iTunes & App Store with their Apple ID, it won’t matter if the email matches their Apple ID. They’ll just need to tap “Redeem Now” in the email to launch the App Store.
