How to use mail with the same apple id on two macs?

Hi,

I have 2 macbooks. I use the same apple id on both the devices. I want to use the Mail.app on only one mac, how can I ensure that mail downloads the mails on only one device and not both.

I go to the internet accounts section in system preferences and enable mail from google, but I want that only on one device. It would be nice if someone could help me out.
